This project, to bring together the records and activities of the Cornish Institute of Engineers, was originally envisaged as a booklet to accompany the centenary celebrations in 2013.
Unfortunately illness intervened in the process and, combined with the typed archive that exists, this idea has morphed into a website where members of the public can see as many of the Institute’s records as it deemed useful.
Three members have contributed the most to this process;
Don Dixon (detail of whose contributions to all the activities of the CIE can be seen here)
George Wilson (who researched the organisation, complied the records and wrote most of the content presented on the historical section of this website. George’s obituary can be found here)
Ian Falconer (who designed & built the website)
